[00:14]A boy found an eagle¡¯s egg and he put it in the nest of a prairie chicken.
[00:23]The eagle hatched and thought he was a chicken.
[00:29]He grew up doing what prairie chickens do¡ª
[00:34]scratching at the dirt for food and flying short distances with a noisy fluttering of wings.
[00:44]It was a dreary life.
[00:48]Gradually the eagle grew older and bitter.
[00:54]One day he and his prairie chicken friend saw a beautiful bird soaring on the currents of air,
[01:05]high above the mountains.
[01:09]¡°Oh, I wish I could fly like that!¡± said the eagle.
[01:16]The chicken replied, ¡°Don¡¯t give it another thought.
[01:23]That¡¯s the mighty eagle, the king of all birds¡ªyou could never be like him!¡±
[01:34]And the eagle didn¡¯t give it another thought.
[01:40]He went on cackling and complaining about life.
[01:46]He died thinking he was a prairie chicken.
[01:51]My friends, you too were born an eagle.
[01:58]The Creator intended you to be an eagle,
[02:03]so don¡¯t listen to the prairie chickens!
