① scream和shriek都是指发出尖锐的声音或调子。

The little girl screamed with delight when she saw the birthday cake. 看到生日蛋糕时，小女孩高兴得尖叫起来。

She screamed that there was a snake under the table. 她大声尖叫说桌子下面有蛇。

She shrieked in fear thinking someone was chasing her. 她害怕得尖叫起来，以为有人在追她。
