① the other day表示“几天以前，那天”，常同过去时连用。

② the next day表示“某动作完成后的第二天”，谓语动词用过去时。

他睡得很好，第二天就好些了。

He slept well and was getting better the other day.

I met an old friend the other day.

③ another day意为“另一天”，指从说话当天起，往后的某天，常同将来时连用。

I must go now. I'll come again another day. 我现在必须走了。改日我再来。
