1.在客人用完餐后,一般要等客人告知要付账时,服务员方可递交并结算账单。不可着急催促客人结账,即要等客人如下说时,服务员再上前。
Could we have the check, please? 我们想要结账。
Hello, can I have my bill? 你好,请把我的账单拿来。
I'd like to pay for the bill. 我想现在结账。
2.在付款时,无论客人是以哪种方式付款,只要是相关规定允许的,都应欣然接受。若无法接受,也应及时礼貌地告知并说明餐厅规定。如:
I'm sorry we don't accept credit cards. 对不起,我们不接受信用卡。
No, I'm sorry we don't. We accept credit cards and cash. 对不起,我们不收。我们只收信用卡和现金。
若顾客是一行几个人,在结账的时候要问清是一起结还是分开结。如:
How would you like to have your bill, a bill for three or a bill for each? 请问你们要怎么结账?三人合起来结还是分开结?
We would like to pay separately. 我们想要分开结账。
3.若遇到客人对某些账目有疑问的情形,服务员务必要客气而耐心地解释说明,以消除客人的疑虑。如:
Would you mind explaining this to me? What is No.4? 请给我解释一下这个,你不介意吧?第四项是什么?
Of course, not. Let me see... No. 4 is the main course and it is 38, not 33. 当然不介意。让我看看······ 第四项是主菜,是38元,不是33元。
但若是餐厅或服务员自身的错误,则应及时道歉并弥补。如:
I think there is a mistake in the bill. 我觉得账单上有一些错误。
Let me see. I am very sorry, sir. I have taken the wrong bill, and I will change it now. 让我看一下。很抱歉先生,我拿错账单了,我现在就去把您的账单给拿过来。
