Dear Lin Hua，

I was sorry to see you walking downstairs after classes yesterday，bending your head and frustrated．I guess it was because your not-so-pleasant school report，but remember that's all simple past tense．Cheer up！

Don't give yourself up！ You should be fully aware of the importance of self-confidence．Confidence may bring you ease and acceptance．Life can be hard and discouraging if you stop believing in your capability to create a brighter future．Confidence contributes to your own perspective and individuality as well．You are who you are and never should you doubt the path you've chosen for yourself．

As far as I am concerned，your depression may be attributed to two main reasons．For one thing，a series of failures in weekly tests struck you more than a bit，but perhaps you were simply not in good condition due to the tiredness caused by rehearsals for the school art festival．On the other hand，you might have been trapped by gossip about your poor performance．But this is your play and you can't expect everyone to understand．

Just think of some happy and successful moments and keep them in your mind when you are in low spirits．Look into your papers and try to make up for the defects．Besides，don't focus on those past defeats as they're far from life or death problems．

I hope to see that energetic and confident you soon and whatever happens，I will always be by your side．
