去除表示人物的从句

除了介词短语、不定式、现在分词、过去分词可以修饰名词以外，从句也可以修饰名词。修饰人物的关系代词有who, whom, whose 和that。它们引导的从句如果是修饰名词的从句时，我们就可以将这些关系代词引导的从句删去。

①The boy who (that) was late for work was scolded by our manager.

②The boy whom our manager scolded was late for work.

③The boy whose clock didn't work was late for work.

The boy 后面的关系代词引导的从句都是定语从句，修饰the boy，所以可以删去。以上三个句子删去从句和其他修饰信息以后是这样的：

①The boy was scolded.

②The boy was late for work.

③The boy was late for work.
