徐灿，字湘蘋，又字明霞、明深，江苏吴县（今苏州市吴中区、相城区）人。陈之遴继配。幼颖悟，通书史。陈之遴两次流徙，均曾随行。康熙十年（1671），奉旨归之遴之骨。晚年学佛，更号紫?。早年雅好吟咏，尤喜为词。被词人陈维崧誉为南宋后闺秀第一。有《拙政园诗馀》《拙政园诗集》。

春光九十已全抛。

送也魂销，

留也魂销。

东君传语谢妖娆。

去也无聊，

往也无聊。

玉床香被展轻绡。

长也今宵，

短也今宵。

愁红休怕绿阴交，

早也明朝，

迟也明朝。

Xu Can

Three months of spring radiance have all abandoned one:

Seeing it off consumes the soul;

Keeping it consumes the soul.

The Eastern Lord sends word to bid the enchanting adieu

Leaving makes one listless;

Staying makes one listless.

On the jade bed the perfumed quilt displays its light silk;

Tonight is long,

Tonight is short.

Sad flowers, fear not the green shadows twining with you

Tomorrow will be early,

Tomorrow will be late.
